It is truly amazing how art can transcend physical life. Watching the process and hearing the spiritual philosophy behind this painting is incredibly moving, especially knowing the artist “Shems Friedlander” has passed. He didn’t just paint letters; he captured a divine presence. May his legacy live on through this masterpiece.

Ustazah, my muse has been busy, but I have been neglecting her…I have many inspirations and have failed to deliver. I aim to soon break that spell.

Your Shems Friedlander reminds me of the American artist Bob Ross, who taught painting on public television for many years. His philosophy and joy of life were more a part of his art than actual raw talent, but his art inspired many of us.

Perhaps they have met somewhere in the afterworld.

Ustaz, your inspirations will be delivered when they are complete and ready to be written.

Thank you so much for introducing Bob Ross to me, and yes, maybe he met with my Shems Friedlander somewhere in the afterworld, or maybe before since they are both American painters belonging to the same generation.

Shems Friedlander is much more than a painter. Shems Friedlander – Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shems_Friedlander

“Mix up a little more shadow color here, then we can put us a little shadow right in there. See how you can move things around? You have unlimited power on this canvas — can literally, literally move mountains”. – Bob Ross – 1993
