Broken Heart

By: Azza El Wakeel

If you would have laid

Your head near my heart

You would have heard music

Not an ordinary heartbeat

If you would have embraced

My heart between your palms

You might have burned

Your hands from the heat

If you would have looked

Deeply into my eyes

You would have discovered

A passion you have never seen

I would have taken you

To magical worlds

Where you have never been

But you walked away

Took another path

You chose another apple’s half

And broke my heart

Well now, there’s a fire in those words that could heat a winter’s night! The way you weave that heart’s heat, it feels like a mighty storm of love just barely held back. It’s a shame some paths weren’t walked together, but even in the ache, there’s something pure and true, like tender music played on a fiddle that stirs both lust and regret.

Well Ustaz Chuckster, words of poetry are written with exaggeration and are full of imagination!. Unfortunately, feelings of infatuation, passion and even true love sometimes change unexpectedly leading to diversion of paths of life, leaving poets weave their aches through texts of poetry.
      Heartfelt thanks for your comment.

I am a tad curious Ustaza Azza El Wakeel about the origins of the artwork in the videos? Are those frames of your own talent, or do you have another source for those frames? I realize the answer to my inquiry may not be something an artist would share, and yet I am always curious about such creative origins. 🥀

Ustaz Chuckster, I mentioned in my post that the images are from Pinterest, they belong to their own creators, so the answer to your inquiry is: the source is Pinterest and those frames aren’t of my own talent.

Why yes, your borrowed brilliance was well documented on your post and I missed the fine print. I apologize to you, Ustaza, and hope you accept my apology. 🙏
