As if we were born

Twin flames

Can’t be together

Can’t stay apart

Love continues burning

Both our hearts

A childish couple

Teasing each other

Playing silly games

We both are losers

Never learning

From our mistakes

We fight and neither of us

Wins the battle

Nor agrees to surrender

So we end up

In separation when

We both are hurting

But pretend

It doesn’t matter

We both are suffering

But stubbornness

Makes us lie

Saying we were

Never better

Till one day again

We long for one another

Reach for each other

Return together

Start all over again

With new burning flames

And more silly games

    Thanks for posting! This poem spins a tale of love that’s as fiery as it is stubborn. That line “We fight and neither of us wins the battle nor agrees to surrender” feels like the crux of it all—two hearts tangled up in a tug-of-war where nobody lets go. It’s a bittersweet dance, full of sparks and stumbles, where the quarrels seem as much a part of the love as the laughter. A tender reminder that some folks just can’t help but keep coming back for another round.

I like very much how you described this dramatic love tale: “It’s a bittersweet dance, full of sparks and stumbles”. Folks who come back for another round or rounds like in my poem, are those who are in love but were separated because of trivial reasons and stubbornness, they usually understand their true feelings and discover the value of their relation after years of experience in life, unfortunately if this happens during their time of separation, it might be too late for them to reunite!.
