My Seventh Veil

By: Azza El Wakeel

Underneath my seventh veil

The saddest face

A heavy body

Loaded with sorrows

Detached from the world

Walks on the sand

Leaving no trace

Underneath my seventh veil

Unforgettable memories

In my mind

I keep recalling

In my dreams

I keep reliving

I live under a greyish sky

My gardens bloom

Withered flowers

The stars, I cannot

See their sparlkings

The sun, I cannot

See its rays

I invite you to watch the video poetry of the poem

My Seventh Veil
